The Wedding Stress Has Begun!!!

So it has finally hit me! I'm stressed out! Why you ask? Well today Julie and Annie tried on their bridesmaids dresses and they are too small! (Yes too small on Julie and Annie who are both skinny!) There is only a 1/2 inch to let out and that will maby allow them to gasp for air occasionally!

The solution is tomorrow we are headed to David's Bridal to try and find something they have in stock. There is no way I can allow these girls to wear these dresses. Its just not acceptable. Unfortunately we can't take the dresses back (from Theresa Ann's in Lexington) so look for them on ebay! If you have any size 2-4 friends these may fit them...the dresses are a size 6 but yeah right. I'm not even sure if a barbie could fit in these! I guess there is a reason I have a discover card huh? Yes in extreme situations your discover card can buy new bridesmaids dresses! Poor Rachel doesnt even know about this yet (unless she is reading this!).

Other than this fiasco everything is great so far! I can't wait for the wedding to be over though! Let me know know some other wedding horrors so I can feel better!

i wouldn't say everything is great so far. we needed some more invitation cards and the company that makes them for us is charging us the same amount for 25 invitations as they did for 125 invitations a couple of months ago! if my math is correct, that's a 500% increase! if not, then that's still a huge increase!

The fiasco has been solved! Thanks to David's Bridal! We got julie a light blue dress that is very flattering and Annie and Rachel both have green. We couldn't find a yellow dress to match so that's why annie is in green but she looks great! The flowers have yellow in them and I was worried about annie having yellow on yellow and looking like a big sun! So all has worked out for the best. Traditionally the maid of honor has a different color so that is good because julie really wanted blue. The stress is over for at least a few days hopefully!

I'm glad everything worked out - there are always flukes of some sort to work though.

Here is some stressful stuff I went thought that might make you feel better:

1 week before the wedding, a groomsman pulled out
1 weeek before the wedding, our videographer canceled and we had no money in the budget to hire a good one

But it all worked out and it was a good wedding. :)

Hang in there Becky - it won't be long now!! :)

Hell yes I am glad everything worked out (except for the fact that I am definitely not skinny, have not been measured, have not seen the dresses...). I'm sorry with all the other wedding stress that you had to deal with this.

Guess who will be exercising and not-eating like it is her job?! (yeah, that's me)

Love you!

Did they measure the girls at Theresa Ann's? Usually the store will take the dresses back if it was their mistake! I am so sorry that you had to go through that!

Two days before our wedding was when we had that major power outage from NY down...I was pale the whole day...that is not something you expect to happen...but you deal! It will be wonderful I am sure!

haha! you're a very calm and logical person so whatever does happen (even if nothing unexpected happens) I'm sure you'll deal with it just right!

will you post a link to the ebay sale when you put them on there?
